Goddess - The Film

Directed by Mark Lamprell the Goddess stars, Elspeth Dickens dreams of finding her "voice" despite being stuck in an isolated farmhouse with her twin toddlers. A web-cam becomes her pathway to fame and fortune, but at a price.

The story features a young English mum, Elspeth Dickens (Laura Michelle Kelly), who is stuck in a remote farmhouse in southern Australia with her energetic twin toddlers whilst her marine scientist husband, James (Ronan Keating), is away saving whales in the Antarctic. Lonely and isolated, she installs a webcam over her kitchen sink and sings her funny little songs about domestic drudgery to the worldwide web. But when she becomes an Internet sensation, Elspeth has to choose between fame and family – or risk losing it all.

The Starring Cast

Ronan Keating is an Irish recording artist, singer-songwriter, musician, and philanthropist. Keating debuted on the professional music scene in 1994 as the lead singer of Boyzone. His solo career started in 1999, and resulted in 9 albums. As a solo artist, Keating has sold over 22 million records worldwide,and in Australia he is best known as a judge on The X Factor.

Laura Michelle Kelly is an English actress and singer who achieved critical acclaim in the role of Mary Poppins in the musical of the same name. Kelly's West End musical credits include Beauty and the Beast, Whistle Down The Wind as Swallow, Les Misérables as Eponine at The Palace Theatre , Mamma Mia! as Sophie at Prince Edward Theatre , and My Fair Lady as Eliza at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. She made her Broadway debut in a revival of Fiddler on the Roof as Hodel.

Magda Szubanski attended college in Melbourne, Australia. With friends from college, launched an early-80s comedy show on Australian TV called "The D Generation" In late 80s/early 90s, appeared in comedy show on Australian TV called "Fast Forward" . Turned down a film role with Richard Gere to star in the second series of "Kath & Kim". Has been named an Australian ambassador for Jenny Craig.
